I notified Google of my sitemap and a few days later received the following error from Google...
We encountered an error while trying to access your Sitemap. Please ensure your Sitemap follows our guidelines and can be accessed at the location you provided and then resubmit. I submitted my sitemap to http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/validate-xml-sitemap.html for validation and got the following... Attempt to load a schema document from http://www.google.com/schemas/sitemap/0.84 (source: docElt) for http://www.google.com/schemas/sitemap/0.84, failed: Not recognised as W3C XML Schema or RDDL: html So it appears that the sitemap.xml is broken.
